Where Bloggers Create Party!

Glad you could join us! It's my first time to participate in this blog party. Thanks to KAREN of DESERT COTTAGE for hosting! (Please click on these photos to enlarge.Thanks.)
Here's a photo showing the room with it's plain yellow walls and blue trims to match the air hockey table. How cute is my niece's baby~Jordan Paige playing with my nephew Patrick!

My craft room isn't big, so I designed each corner of the room with some sort of a theme or a designated purpose. This corner to the left by the entrance door is a little "glam" display.  Ooh la la! That's a wrought iron vintage dress form decal on the wall, I put  a couple of nails by the neck of the " manequin" and hang my pearl necklaces from it. It's a 3D effect, which is cool. I hang my pictures on the louvers, added a touch of fabric and a crown hook, hang more chain necklaces and put some inspirational words to live by, and I'm good to go!

My family is very important to me, and it shows because I love to decorated with pictures. These collages are very memorable to me, and I found a perfect corner to display them, just behind my chair, right across my desk area.

Here's the corner as soon as you enter on your right, with my baskets filled with yummieson top of shelves I bought from yard sale. I put burlap material on top of the air hockey table for protection from scratches and dusts.

A close up my great yard sale finds---shelves and baskets for displays and supplies, and jars for buttons, I love Lucy lunch pail, old milk jug for coins,  etc.  Plastic containers ( from friends) help me organize my tons and tons of paper. That cream jewelry box (on the right) was a steal for $5 bucks at a yard sale; almost new.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my "open house" tour of my craft room. I would love a little feed back from you. Hope you come back and visit me again soon. I love posting my projects when I get the chance. In the meantime, go and mingle and meet new friends from this wonderful Blogland! Take care!
Note: Please email me your comment if it won't post. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Baby Shower Invitations

I just finished making these baby Shower Invitations for our special friends' daughter, Audrey. She's having a boy! How exciting!

It's our friends' first grandchild and to help her celebrate the arrival, our prayer group family is giving her a warm and wonderful baby shower.

I made a few invitations for some of their family and friends who does not have email addresses; they sent out Evite to the rest of the guests.

The baby carriage that I used were computer prints that I cut out and strategically double taped on the card stock. I used pretty scrapbook paper as background in green and light blue, embellished with a ribbon, hang a tag with rubber stamped: "It's a shower" in blue ink.

I used a Martha Stewart  decorative edger for a more finished look.

For every card that I create, I make sure I have my esty store name rubber stamped on the back. It shows it's handmade and personalized.
I hope Audrey likes them. I will post pictures of the baby shower happening in a couple of weeks.
=)  In the meantime, I'm joining Creative Blogger's Party & Hop #15 hosted by Homemaker on A Dime. C'mon, check it out! Thanks for visiting and I hope you come visit again! =)

My first Soldered Art Projects

I've always liked soldered art pendants and charms. I had ordered ALL the supplies and tools to make soldered art projects long time ago, and finally...I tried it! Well, actually, this was last year. I was going through my pictures and realized, I never posted it. So here it is!

I made my keepsake thank you gifts for our priests to show my family's appreciation for their services to our community. I put our Holy Family Church's logo in the front and "thank you" at the back.
I hope they liked it...because I liked it myself! (That, being my very first time to do soldered art!) I'll be practicing a lot and I'm looking forward to getting better at it.

By the way...{sidebar}...just in case you didn't see my old posting about the body form...yes, I made it too. I decoupaged a mache body form, it...she... came out pretty and I loved her! I named her Emerald (my birthstone). Then,  I found a new home for her! My friend Nancy W came by my flower shop, saw her and loved her too! So she (Emerald) went home with her. (Nancy makes beautiful blankets and baby stuff by the way.)  I'm sure they're happy together at Nancy's studio. =)   I miss Emerald, though...I think I'll make another one.  =)

Well, anyway...sorry, these are not the best photos of the pendants, but I'm sure you get it, right?

Okay, thanks for visiting. Hope you drop by again!
